The Bronberg Children’s Choir is located in the “New Eastern” suburbs of Pretoria and consists of children in the surrounding areas between the ages of 9 and 15.
Although still in its infancy is already regarded as one of Pretoria’s top children’s choirs.
The choir, which was established in 2012 took part in the annual Music in the Mountains Festival on the campus of the Drakenberg Boys’ Choir at Champagn Castle in the Drakensberg in 2013.
They also participated in the ‘Afrikaans is Groot’ production in which 8 performances were attended by over 60 000 people.
The Bronberg Children’s Choir was established by a homeschooling mother to instill a love of singing and choir music in children and to encourage the growth of musical talent in the members of the choir. They practice at Curro Hazeldean, under the leadership of their founder and conductor, Daleen de Kock and accompanied by pianist Alwyn van Heerden.
For more information about auditions contact Daleen on 083 229 7398 or Alwyn on 074 219 0536.
